Two biostatistician investigators join GHRI

The Group Health Research Institute (GHRI) Biostatistics Unit will welcome two new assistant investigators this month: Jennifer Feder Bobb, PhD, and Fei Wan, PhD.

  • Dr. Bobb comes to GHRI from the Department of Biostatistics at the Harvard School of Public Health, where she began as a postdoctoral fellow in 2012 and became a research associate in 2013. Among her areas of expertise are analyzing large administrative databases and developing efficient statistical methods for big data. She received her PhD in biostatistics from the Johns Hopkins Bloomberg School of Public Health in 2012.
  • Dr. Wan received his PhD in biostatistics from the University of Pennsylvania this spring and has been a biostatistician in its Center for Clinical Epidemiology and Biostatistics since 2004. He also holds master’s degrees in statistics, mathematics, and computer science and information technology. He has extensive experience with randomized clinical trials, comparative effectiveness studies, and health services and outcomes research.

GHRI will host a welcome reception for Drs. Bobb and Wei on July 29 from 3:30 to 5 p.m. in room 1509A.
