Dr. Hsu speaks on vaccine hesitancy at NASEM workshop

Kaiser Permanente Washington Health Research Institute Assistant Investigator Clarissa Hsu, PhD, spoke at an August workshop from the National Academy of Sciences, Engineering, and Medicine workshop on vaccines. The topic at the Forum on Microbial Threats was the “Critical Public Health Value of Vaccines – Tackling Issues of Access and Hesitancy.” Dr. Hsu spoke about the Immunity Community approach to reducing vaccine hesitancy, which was also the topic of a 2017 KPWHRI blog from a parent participant.

The August special webinar "Advancing equity, inclusion, and diversity in the Health Care Systems Research Network” from the HCSRN was moderated by Aruna Kamineni, PhD, MPH, Kaiser Permanente Washington Health Research Institute assistant investigator. Panel speakers included KPWHRI Research Associate Amy K.Z. Lee, MPH, and Senior Investigator Gregory E. Simon, MD, MPH. Dr. Kamineni’s co-moderator was Suma Vupputuri, PhD, MPH, of Mid-Atlantic Permanente Research Institute.
