PCORnet Bariatric Study eligibility criteria

Eligibility criteria

 

To be eligible for PCORnet Bariatric Study (PBS), individuals must have: 

  • Had one of the three weight loss surgeries we are studying:
    • Adjustable gastric band (AGB) – commonly known as lap band or band.
    • Roux-en-Y gastric bypass (RYGB) – commonly known as bypass.
    • Sleeve gastrectomy (SG) - commonly known as sleeve.
  • Had the surgery between January 1, 2005 and September 30, 2015.
  • Been 12–79 years old at the time of surgery.
  • Had a body mass index (BMI) in the year prior to surgery that is > 35 kg/m2
