Loretta-Hsueh_187x187.jpgLoretta Hsueh, PhD, is a Postdoctoral Fellow in the T32 Diabetes Translational Research program at the Kaiser Permanente Northern California Division of Research. She received her PhD in Clinical Psychology from Indiana University-Purdue University Indianapolis and completed her clinical residency at the University of Illinois at Chicago School of Medicine, Department of Psychiatry.    

Her clinical expertise is in promoting behavior change in chronic disease management (e.g., medication adherence, sleep) and psychological assessments for surgery readiness (e.g., bariatric surgery, heart and lung transplant). Her research takes a socioecological approach to addressing the physical and psychosocial burden of cardiometabolic conditions among immigrants and communities of color, with a focus on health care delivery systems as a resource for addressing medical and social needs. Her work at Kaiser Permanente has primarily focused on strategies to increase telemedicine use among patients with limited English proficiency and the impact of telemedicine on diabetes outcomes.
