nicole.friedman__187x187.jpgAs an Affiliate Investigator at Kaiser Permanente Northwest (KPNW) Center for Health Research, Nicole Friedman, MAA, is responsible for programs that address complex medical and social needs to improve health outcomes and reduce cost of care for vulnerable populations. Prior to her role at Kaiser, Nicole developed various community health initiatives in New York City such as a community based palliative care program for low income seniors living in foster and long term care facilities. Nicole earned a Bachelors from the University of Oregon in Anthropology and Portuguese and received a Masters of Applied Medical Anthropology from Portland State. She received the KPNW Faces of Change award for eliminating social barriers to care and serves on the National Quality Forum, Person and Family Centered Care Committee.
