Palazzo, Penfold, and Phelan speak at NIA conference

Kaiser Permanente Washington Health Research Institute (KPWHRI) researchers were invited to speak at a conference on Embedded Pragmatic Clinical Trials in Dementia. Senior Collaborative Scientist Lorella Palazzo, PhD, and Senior Investigator Robert Penfold, PhD, presented about value champions to reduce inappropriate prescribing for people with dementia at the National Institute on Aging IMPACT Collaboratory conference in Bethesda in April. KPWHRI Affiliate Investigator Elizabeth Phelan, MD, MS, presented about the STOP FALLS study.                       

Rosenberg presents on reducing sitting time

KPWHRI Senior Investigator Dori Rosenberg, PhD, MPH, is giving a series of talks about the results of the Healthy Aging Resources to Thrive (HART) trial, which she led. In February, Rosenberg spoke to the University of Washington Health Promotion Research Center. In March, she presented at the annual meeting for the Society of Behavioral Medicine in Philadelphia. KPWHRI coauthors on that presentation were Mikael Anne Greenwood-Hickman, MPH; Andrea Cook, PhD; Stefani Florez-Acevedo, PhD; Jennifer McClure, PhD; David Arterburn, MD, MPH; Julie Cooper, MPA; and Bev Green, MD, MPH.
